Ex-Montessori aide charged with slamming, dragging 2-year-old at N.J. school

A former aide at an Apple Montessori School in Passaic County has been charged with assaulting a 2-year-old over the summer, authorities said Tuesday.
The incident occurred Aug. 13 at the school on Nevins Road in Wayne where the woman had been working, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.
The 19-year-old aide “slammed and dragged a 2-year-old in her care, causing the child to sustain bodily injury,” Valdes said in a statement on Tuesday.
